A little Bit about:
Hannah is a lively, enthusiastic violinist and singer who has a passion for Folk music. She has graduated from her BA Music Hons (Performance) Degree at Falmouth University, and still aims to continue her musicianship.
Hannah is a competent session musician with abilities to read music and sight read, as well as learn by ear and improvise. She is used to the recording environment as she has had years of experience recording albums with her bands, also playing and recording for many compositions created by students at Falmouth University and composers outside of the University setting. Therefore she is easy to work with when in the studio environment as well as outside in a rehearsal and performance setting.
The music Hannah enjoys playing are Folk, Klezmer, Classical and anything else that comes her way. She is always willing to give anything a go in any genre to the best of her ability. She always has a professional approach to her playing, therefore can easily adapt to anything that comes her way.
On top of her performing and recording experience, she also teaches violin both for workshops and privately. Her range of styles, and the enthusiasm she has for what she does creates a relaxed atmosphere when teaching. Hannah has experience in, and is willing to teach any age of any ability, and in mainly folk music, and if your starting from scratch, everyone starts from the same place. To then develop into the genre each pupil desires to play. Hannah also offers lessons in Fiddle singing (playing the violin and singing at the same time), in these lessons you will learn how to accompany yourself on the fiddle while your singing, learning special techniques and exercises to develop this ability, so then to have the ability to accompany your voice.
